Galileo Galilei!!

Galileo was born in Pisa on the 15th of  february 1564 , but he was florentine.

His father,when galileo was 16, wanted that he studied medical science, after a while he got bored of it and he began to study mechanic and hydraulics.

To earn some moneys he had to give private lessons in Florence and Siena, and once he taught in the university of Florence about the Divine Comedy wrote by Dante Alighieri.

He discovered many things like the Isochronism of the pendulum when he was in the cathedral of Pisa, thanks to the swinging of the chandelier when the people turned off the candles.

An other important discover was the specific weight: he studied the weight of liquids and gas, using a tool called “hydrostatic balance”and he understood that if a thing sink,or float,the amount of air that it had inside didn’t matter at all, but it concerned the specif weight; he also mesured the weight of the air which is approximately 760x more than the water.

He also discovered the dynamic, that revolutioned the science!!, Thanks to an experiment made from the bell tower where he throwed a feather and a rock and he understood that a feather took more time to fall than a rock because it hasn’t an aerodynamic form.

Galileo is also famous for his astronomical discoveries such as the geocentricism (the earth rotates around the sun and not the opposite)and because of it, he was wanted from the catholic Church.

Galileo died on the 8th january 1642 in Arcetri near Florence.
